The hubs has been wanting to add an outdoor sports package to our cable for awhile now, but I hated the idea of paying for more channels when we don't watch most of the ones we have. So last night, when I wasn't feeling well and went to bed early, he added it. He told me this morning and, before I could protest, he says: "But you were incoherent or I would have asked."
Well played, my friend.

25 Random Things
Thought it might be fun to link up to the "25 Random Things" linky party at Perfectly Imperfect. Here we go...
- My favorite food is queso. I love it with chips, flour tortillas, on tacos, burgers, hotdogs, french fries, baked potatoes, even salad.
- I think my baby is a ball of awesome.
- I was born and raised in Texas. I really didn't think I'd still be living here at 31...
- I used to be a hockey nut. I think I personally got every Dallas Stars' autograph from the early seasons.
- I once saw Luke Wilson while dining in LA. Swoon.
- My all-time favorite movies are Legends of the Fall, Shawshank Redemption, The Departed, and Beauty & The Beast.
- I still wear crazy socks. You know, the kind with little animals and flowers on them.
- My calves are too big to fit into Hunter wellies. Booo.
- I hate ketchup, mustard, mayo, sour cream, and salad dressing.
- The first time I played softball, I hit myself in the head with the bat. I was 29.
- I eat Chick-fil-a about three times a week.
- I don't think I've ever eaten a banana. But I think I hate them, too.
- I'm an indecisive perfectionist... so nothing ever gets done...
- I don't mind wasps or bees or most worms. I begin to tremble and sweat at the mere thought of a roach.
- I was always a mountain person growing up. But, the older I get, the more of a beach person I become.
- I took four years of Latin in highschool, and four years of Spanish in college. I think I can say hello, bye, and where's the bathroom?
- I've only been outside of the U.S. three times -- Canada, Mexico (like for two hours) and Puerto Rico. Hoping to add to the list soon!
- I love to fish (catch & release).
- I don't dress anything like the styles I love on Pinterest. Thinking I need to overhaul my closet...
- Pets I've had: turtles, guinea pig, ferret, fish, cat, dogs, and a rabbit.
- I'm less self-conscious at the beach than I am anywhere else. Which seems backwards, right?
- I support both PETA and the right to hunt (for food, not sport).
- I had a yellow moped in college.
- I'm running out of thoughts...
- I can't believe my baby boy is 7 months old.
Whew! There ya go!

TGIF
I'm sad I missed linking up to WIWW this week, but I'll just add the photos to next time. Baby caused a little excitement over the last few days ~ some really nice contractions and mucho uncomfortableness. While I guess he's decided to stay put, it did give us a chance to practice our breathing techniques, and I got some awesome back rubs :)
With just five weeks to go, this cartoon definitely sums up my thoughts right about now...

We've got some of the details up in the baby room, so I'll share over the weekend. Happy Friday!

Hello Again!
My, how quickly time flies. I can't believe it's been over two months since my last post -- and boy, are things changing around here! I do have a couple of projects to share, so hopefully I'll get those up in the next week. Making {small} progress on the baby room -- but hopefully that'll be done in the next week or two (Seems like I keep saying that?). Looking forward to maternity leave just so I can blog and catch up! But, in the mean time, I'll try to post a little ... and read a lot. And there's always my tweets over there on the right if you get bored ;).
Oh, and wondering how the bump is coming along?

Yep, that baby's running out of room in there -- just 10 weeks to go!

Hello Again
So when I fall off the bandwagon, I reeeeaaaalllly fall off! BUT, we're about to start the baby room, so I'm excited to share our ideas and projects. And, I already have a list of stuff I want to accomplish after the baby arrives. You know, when I have all that free time while on maternity leave (I'm sure you moms are laughing at me right now!) :)
Oh, and we found out what we're having ... I'll share tomorrow! ;)

Dreamy Collage
While I was scrounging for last minute garage sale items, I came across photos from our trip to Puerto Rico two years ago. I spent an hour looking through them all, dreaming about the beautiful water and our crazy memories. We'd love to go back someday, but maybe I'll brush up on my Spanish first...
Here are a few random photos that we took ~ kind of a relaxing way to start off the week, don't you think? :)

Bottled Dreams
"When we are dreaming alone it is only a dream. When we are dreaming with others, it is the beginning of reality." ~ Dom Helder Camara
J and I have been talking a lot lately about our dreams and hopes for the future. About where we'll be in, say, five years or ten years or even 50. One of J's dreams? Is to start a winery. It's an ambitious dream for sure. But how freaking cool would that be? So, we've been looking at land, and talking about what kind of wine we'd make and how we'd harvest the vineyard.
Sure, maybe it's a pipedream. But, I believe it's those dreams that create passion in life ... and make wearing a suit and tie to work more bearable. Because at the end of the day? It's not what you do while you're here, it's what you leave behind when you're gone.
Hence the load of wine-making supplies J found on Craig's List that lined our entry for awhile.

All of those boxes? Are filled with old wine bottles.

And, we now have two batches of wine "brewing" {is that the right term?} upstairs ~ musky dine and plum. Who knows, maybe it's the start of something beautiful...

First Blog Award! :)
Looks like there are a few rules:
- Thank the person who gave it to you
- Share seven things about you
- Pass the award along (15 people Max)
- Contact the people you passed it to
Simple enough ... I think! Seven things, huh? Well, okay, here goes...
- I love music, all kinds. I could listen to music 24 hours a day -- helps me think, helps me relax, helps me energize.
- Hate moths. They scare the crap out of me! And roaches, too. *shiver*
- I was born, raised and am still here in Texas. But, I'd move to Colorado in a heart beat! Just need to convince the hubby first...
- I LOVE cheese. Well, not all cheese, just cheddar. And jack. And sometimes swiss.
- I have to sleep on the side of the bed farthest from windows and doors. And when J's out of town? I have to leave all the lights on. And by all, I mean every. Single. One.
- I could live in Barnes & Noble. And Target. *sigh* And Chick-fil-a!
- I was composting before composting was "cool". {Is "cool" the right word? Probably not...}
Okay, time to pass this on! I'll follow in Brianna's footsteps and award seven awesome bloggers:
Lindsey @ Better After
Gail @ My Repurposed Life
Wendy @ Relatively Unique
Kimba @ A Soft Place to Land
Lindsey @ The Pleated Poppy
Bridget @ Tales of Me and the Husband
Amanda @ Casa Brasi
Love these blogs, so check them out!
